That guy is stupid as hell. If you're going to make a 50/50 bet, at least do it on something with true 50/50 odds, like a coin flip. American roulette has two green possibilities: 0 and 00. That is neither red nor black. Many European ones have a single 0. Roulette is widely known as the worse bet in the house.
