Rachel and I had an enjoyable weekend. We kicked it off with a trip down to Bastille Days. While there we ate italian sandwiches, sushi, crepes, beignets, and chocolate covered pretzels. Rachel saw a fortune teller which she said was insightfull. There was an interesting performace group there that juggled fire and had stilted-walker gymnastics. Unfortunately I did not bring my camera and have no visuals for you. We wrapped up the evening with a performance by local raggae group King Solomon. They have a slightly revamped line-up that brings a lot more energy to the group. The new front man Bush Man is a great MC and dances all over the place on stage. It turns out that the guitarist Terry Tanger is a friend of Rachel's father Rich!
Saturday Rachel's brother (Justin) and his wife Corrine and baby Niel came over for a visit. Baby Niel is a riot with his laughing and interest in the cats. We mixed up some margaritas and grilled up some marinated chicken for an enjoyable dinner. Later in the eve we caught the Ben Stiller movie Dodgball that had a ton of laugh out loud moments.
Sunday was hot so we decided to head down to the lakefront and revisit the scene of our first date with a paddleboat ride on the lagoon. We had a popsicle and did some people and pet watching before relaxing in preparation for another work week.
I promise I'll tote the camera around more to catch those oh-so Milwaukee moments.
Ummm...that's my uncle Dan sweetie, not my dad.

I'm wondering if I should bring a camera out to Vegas or should I just let what happens stay out there...hehe.
