Now, in my opinion the old logo isn't bad. It's more that if this is a logo used by tourism, the latter just doesn't do it. It looks like a button on a demim jacket. The second one does take advantage of a tourist attraction, but more importantly has the action word 'visit' incorporated into the slogan. Much smarter marketing. It's great that we have a blue collar manufacturing history here, but that doesn't get the tourism dollars flowing unless it is all the Harley hooplah. Granted those are fun times but still, even the bikers only take tours of the bike factories and breweries, the rest are real tourist attractions. People don't come here to look at the Harnishfager or Tower Automotive plants.


or an NHL team...err.wait! At least the NHL leage to run...lol.
