Hi all! Rachel and I are back from India. We landed at O'hare yesterday (Friday Jan. 27) at about 3pm. The journey was about 27 hours in the making and we glad to sleep in our own bed. The trip was great! It was fulfilling to spend time with family. We also saw some fantastic things during our travels to northern India.
We were rather exhausted from lack of sleep. We slept when and where we could in airports and on the planes but as all are aware it ain't comfortable.
Pics and a recap of what we did is coming soon.
Take a look at the book list to the right to see what I read and am reading. I highly recommend Suketu Mehta's Maximum City to get a feel for Mumbai (Bombay). I read that book while in Bombay, and a couple times on the balcony of Dilip Uncle's flat at night to really get into it.
More than the time difference we are getting used to the greyness of winter again. We miss the sun!
Thanks for reading and commenting :)
sounds like a great trip. awesome photos! i'm jealous.
