Google Keyword Tool Showing Number of Previous Month's Searches
Just caught this development this morning (3/18).
**Update** Here is a little background on this screen shot. I was doing some research with the Google Adwords keyword tool when I noticed the number of searches next to the previous month's bars indicating the search volume. I had not seen that before, nor have I seen it since. I have heard of Google testing new features on their SERP, but in my experience new features are usually stick around in the AdWords interface and are announced in a timely fashion.

I cant believe they removed this feature again. I've been trying to find the right keywords for my usenet business for quite a while now. When looking at the screenshot i understand why i dont get that many visitors for our usenet project.

Can't wait they make this tool public.
On the other hand this will make keyword research simple to everybody...

Seems like an bug.
Look at highlighted keyword, it has "NO DATA" but at the same time it has 2 green bars at search volume.
Usually "no data" display 1 green bar, or no green line at all.

What is interesting is the gap in search volume for the same size green bar. You look at "secretary desk furniture" = 7,100 and "secretary desks" = 14,000 that is double for the same green bar rank. I know they need to fit everything with in a scale but double the search volume seems like a big difference. I would want to know that. Also what is interesting is "Secretary Desk" = 52,000 and "Desk Secretary" = 52,000 but there is no way that is true either.

Wow, that would be such a wonderful addition to the service. I'm not sure what it does for Google, but it sure as heck would be helpful to me!
Are you still seeing it or did it go away?

It's about time. I hope they roll this out full scale soon. I think they were concerned showing their numbers however I think they will increase ppc ad spend because you can see the traffic for very targeted keywords that are getting some traffic such as "wood secretary desk" and you can see that there is very little competition at the moment. So anyone selling wood secretary desks can cherry pick and get higher ROI for their money.
