Oh Fernando

Fernando Vina provided me with one of my favorite County Stadium moments ever. It was a retro day when hot dogs were really cheap, anyway, a squirrel got onto the field and chased him around. It was hilarious.

Now that Fernando has been named in MLB's Mitchell report with check stubs as evidence, I wonder if the current baseball analyst at ESPN will be fielding questions or giving an insiders perspective.

December First

Man, the first day of December brought many doses of reality. Started by raking and bagging all the leaves that finally dropped off the trees since Thanksgiving. No sooner than that task was finished the snow (eventually blizzard) started. Ran to do some grocery shopping only to find two flats on my car, one of which was un-inflatable. Top that off with back wrenching shoveling due to the snow blower being in the shop and you get me in a less than jovial mood. BUT due to hugs from Ava and TLC from Rachel, plus inexpensive repairs to the car my brow is no longer furrowed.
