Call me what you like, but I've been sucked into the show The Bachelor. I watched the Bachelorette last time and once you watch that first show, it over you are hooked. I figure its better than crack! There was a 26 year old from Wauwatosa who did'nt get selected. First we can't get a Miss America now this.
Speaking losers the Brewers are about to wrap up another losing season. They have improved but still went on some long losing streaks. There were a couple bright spots and they have some prospects in their future so lets keep the fingers crossed.

It was a beautiful day to hold Al's Memorial Run Saturday. The sun was warm but the breeze was cool. About 17,000 people came out to run and walk. I ran with a couple of friend's at t pretty easy pace. I picked it up with two miles to go and finished strong. I did not run for most of August and the beginning of September because of the heat and time constraints. I did get a week of warming up in. Hopefully next year I will have be more prepared to race.
Later in the dday Rachel and I attended a very nice wedding. It was two Irish familiies and they brought some traditions into the ceremony and reception. A lot of fun. Congrats Erin and Jeremy!.

Rachel and I went to the Comedy Central Live tour last Thurdsay. All three comedians were great. Mitch Hedwig was up first and got the crowd going with his unique delivery. Luis Black a Summerfest veteran shared his opinion on Milwaukee and his world views. Dave Attel, if you have seen his show, Insomniac, did not disappoint. We had a tasty dinner before the show at the Lakeside Inn Cafe. It is at the end of my block and serves great food at a reasonable price.

I'd like to show my support for my friends that are back in school. Big pat on the back to Waiken, Tiffany, Scott, Carrie, Jes, others who I am most likely forgetting. I sometimes kick around the idea of getting my PHD, and once I regain consciousness from laughing caused blackout I think about other things.
Speaking of learning I gave a presentation on search engine marketing to group of small business owners today. This is the second time I have done it and I enjoy helping find a way to possibly get ahead. The presentation was made through the Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation or WWBIC. I am also giving a similar but shorter presentation to the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce in mid-November a few days after I turn 28.
Speaking of acronyms do you know what I named the Fasdater staff? Fastdater Action Response Team hee hee. If you don't know about Fastdater (how I met Rachel) let me know and I'll explain it, or post it.

Its finally raining around here. Hopefully things will look a little greener rather than the sorry brown we have been accustomed to the past month. The rain could have come during the week rather on the weekend though.
In other news congrats to Peter Rampson for competing in a half Iron Man. Thats a long swim, a long bike and THEN a 13 mile run.
Good luck to the Packers tomorrow against the Lions.

boom boom boom. My car is in the shop cause of various ailments. Lets hope it does'nt become too costly of a repair job. I am confident the 600LE will ride again. Although if anyone is willing to trade a Lexus or Porsche strait up for my baby I'd entertain the idea.

So the picture on the top of the screen was taken during my vacation in Jamaica last January. I am holding a plantain. Rachel thought they were the funniest things so we started to take pics with them.
I have posted an album with my Chihuly pics from the Milwaukee Art Museum. These particular works were done. These works were originally displayed over the canals in Venice.

So the Packers lost the game to the much hated Vikings yesterday. The mistakes were disappointing but the offense got hot late in the game so at least that was encouraging.
There are a glut of birthdays this past week. Rachel's brother Justin, my buddy Ed Jurken, and anther friend Michelle Malicki all celebrated birthdays. All that food has put a few pounds on my body builder like frame.

Check out my new photo albums. The Villa Terrace is a mansion on the lakefront that acts as a museum now.
So the Harley celebration is over and the bikes have cleared out. I did enjoy some of the festivities but living downtown there were motrcycles zooming outside my window from 7am to 3am. The parade was impressive, I was more impressed with the crowd than the number of bikes.
Big thanks to Peter Rampson's uncle Mike. He got us employee wristbands to the big concert Sunday which wound up being headlined by Elton John. I was hoping for Bruce Springsteen but enjoyed the concert (especially Kid Rock) none the less. The wristbands got us up to the gated front section of the concert, where the first 5,000 people who showed got into. We were close enought o be underneath the boom camera for part of the show. They estimated 150,000 people in Vererans Park and another 50,000 people on Lincoln Memorial Drive.
