iTunes for windows

So iTunes is out for Windows. I have been using iTunes since I got my PowerBook months and months ago. In a word, it rocks. I downloaded the Windows version at work the first day it was available and have been using it ever since. If you have any amount of digital music this is hands down the best program to manage them. The internet radio stations that are available are quality as well.

Circus

So I wound up on TV last Saturday because of the Fastdater event at McDonalds in Mequon. I am sure it was me buzzing the horn to signal that it was time to move. It was on the newscast after the World Series so a couple of guys said they saw me. It was a real circus at this event. You had 5 fastdater staff, 4 people from Rock 102.1, 2 people from their ad agency, 2 news cameras with reporters, the owner of the store, and Tina Panas from the 2nd Bachelor there, and 40 fastdaters....all while the place was stil open for business. McDonalds thought fastdater would fit with their 'I'm Lovin It' campaign. It went pretty smoothly for the situation and I was very happy when it was over.

Just picked up the Matric Reloaded on DVD. I watched all the extras on how they made it. That is what you call project management. They had to make even more technological leaps to make the Wachaowski brothers vision a reality on screen. Only a few more weeks to Revolutions....who wants to hit the midnight show?!?!

Bout Time

It's about time someone is taking some steps to get the Menomonee Valley cleaned up. It is an eyesore right in the middle of Milwaukee. Sitting unused for years, i'd hate to think what goes through people's mind when the catch a whif of the brewery and see the old train yard. It must what I thought of Gary, IN the first time I drove through...smelly and dingy.

If they build a business park there I wonder if people go head down the street to the Potowatami casino for 'lunch'?

Big congrats to the Badgers for beating Ohio State and their 19 game winning streak and jumping ten spots to number 12 in one of the poles. Oh, and if you watched the game and saw what happened to QB Jim Sorgi (the choke), the offending player got suspended a game and Sorgi will be back in the line up againdt Purdue this Saturday.

Yay! Its Friday

After a looong week at work its almost the weekend. With animation festivals, Kill Bill, two BIG football games, and beautiful weather the weekend should not be short on things to do.

So I cooked, yes, cooked a $100 dinner last night. My boss gave a us a gift certificate to Lobster Gram, and I got two lobster tails and two fillets mignon cuts o' steak. Add some wine your stomach is happy happy happy.

Also there is a little gadget that has got me reading my books again. Its the LightWedge. It is a piece of illuminated plastic that lays over the page you are reading. Knocked out 100 pages in the two days i've had it. I ordered it from Amazon, then went to the 'New and Used' section. The AAA batteries were difficult to get in, and I think that Energizer batteries might be the skinniest FYI.

Looks like it has been a bad week for big cat owners. First Roy got mauled in Vegas, then some genius in NYC kept a big cat in there apartment. Its a shame that people would treat such noble creatures so badly.

Anyway, the Packers are back on track after whooping the Seahawks and former coach Mike Holmgren. It was great to see some big pass plays and the offensive line push people around a little.

Congrats to Jeff and Heidi Jakubiac on the baptism of their lovely twin daughters.

Not much went on this past week. Saw the Rundown with the Rock and Sean William Scott last night. It was an entertaining movie with interesting camera work. I like any role Christopher Walken plays so I can't help but be a little biased.

For those of you who do not live in Wisconsin, IT IS GETTING COLD. The winds were rather biting last night. The days are nice but the nights are chilly.

The Packers layer the smack down on the Chicago Bears. The Bears are one of the worst teams in the league, but it still felt good to win. Mike Holmgren comes back to town with this Seahawks, his defensive coordinator is Ray Rhodes. I have pretty much block the Ray Rhodes season from my memory, it goes straight from Holmgren to Sherman. Now I hear that Holmgren would have wished he knew that Ron Wolf was going to retire or else he would have stuck around. Oh well, they say patience is a virtue.
