Mighty Big Thanks To

In no particular order big big big thanks to: Waiken, Dan, Steve, Jason, Bill, Bill Sr, John. This crew moved us into our house. They busted their butts and made our move go rather smoothly. Bill Sr. let us use his cube truck in addition to the u-haul, allowed us to move everything in one trip. We got everything knocked out in about 4 hours. After the move we feasted on Balestreri's pizza. I know Rachel and I are a little stiff after all the lifting and carrying, but its all been worth it.

Speaking of worth it, digital cable plus a DVR ROCK! After all those darn commercials about pausing live TV and recording your shows, I caved and got it. It especially comes in handy with the man/woman thing. I can record the game I want to see and Rachel can watch the Real World. We'll see after a few months if it fits into our wedding budget. I won't let my TV habits lead to a build-your-own-nacho-bar at our wedding reception (or will I?).

Trading Spaces

Only a few more days until we close on the house and move in!!! Ah, the joys of home ownership. We were contemplating re-doing the hardwood floors before we moved, but a 36 hour timeframe to do it in invites disaster. So we will have to live with pink carpet for a little while then do the living and dining rooms separately. And I was looking forward to using a power sander after so many years!

Happily Ever After

Congrats go to Justin and Corrine Riley who were married 3/20/04. Justin is Rachels brother and a great guy. Their son Niel Cash Riley is also pictured and decked out for the occasion. Big thanks to Corine's parents for hosting the event. It was a lot of fun and a very memorable day.

Hisss!

So introducing my two cats to Rachel's two cats has been a real adventure. I brought them over last Friday and set them up in her/our bedroom. They sniffed around a bit on their own, and when things seemed like they were going to go OK, HISSS GROWL HISSS. My kitties turned on each other and acted like they had never met each other in their lives! After a conversation with my Mom this is actually normal because their social structure (aka who is top cat) was thrown out of whack. My cats are now roaming her apartment. Morrie is adjusting better than Socks. She still hisses at the sight of all the other cats. Another fun development is Rachel's cat Chloe 'sings' at the door at night. She did'nt do that before my cats moved in. I think she feels left out. Anyone want 4 cats? :)
