Sizzlin' Summer

Made it to Summerfest Sunday night to see the Andre-less Outkast, Ludacris and Twista. There were some pretty entertaining moments. We scored great seats in the first 10 rows. Will be back there to check out Paul Oakenfold July 1st.

Looking forward to the holiday weekend and the gorging that goes along with it!

Hiking Photos

Rachel and I started out the weekend with dinner at Jalapeno Loco. The food was excellent as usual. We followed dinner with a showing of Troy.

Saturday Dan and I headed over to Onopa Brewery and caught a Lotus show. They are a Phish friendly band with some really good grooves.

Sunday was a fantastic day to get outside so we headed to Lapham Peak state park, check out the photos!

N'awlins

This was a fun time in New Orleans with my Dad last year. There was a lot going on at teh time. Jazz Festival, basketball playoffs, and a PGA tournament. The Harrahs casino has hourly parades, with a band and beads. The French Quarter is a interesting place to walk around during the day. I came aross the historical society which had an exhibit on the Lousiana Purchase, and a folksong performance. Did'nt sample too much native cuisine, but that can wait until next time.

Gmail!!!

Big thanks to Dan for hooking me up with a Gmail invite to test the beta. The service will be free in a few weeks but it was cool to get the email handle I wanted (adamap). If i get the ability to invite folks I'll hook ya up.

BTW, Ron Howard is going to be directing the movie version of the book The Da Vinci Code. Also Indiana Jones 4 is in pre-preduction.

Good Riddance

Rachel and I managed to unload stuff at a neighborhood rummage sale this weekend. One the most satisfying sales was my motorcycle that has not run in 5 or so years. We also sold two bicycles that did not work and an extra computer desk. All proceeds went to our wedding fund. It was a picture perfect day so that brought a number of people out. We also had a chance to meet neighbors that were out and about.

I had a chance to meet Dan's puppy Beta. She is so tiny and cute. She licks and smells everything in sight.

Hope to see Harry Potter this week, and Troy at some point.
