So I decided blow some of my tax refund on lunch yesterday. I considered going to my regular haunts, Ghengis Khan, El Ray, Qdoba, or Indian Palace. But then I realized I hadn't had sushi in a great while. I recalled that I had yet to go to Japanica near Southridge mall. I remembered there was another favorable review of it in Milwaukee Magazine's list of tasty ethnic restaurants.
I arrived there and took a seat at the sushi bar which is staffed by Japanese chefs. They have very reasonable sushi lunch specials, 2 rolls soup and salad for $8 or 3 rolls for $10. I chose the 2 roll lunch and got a couple other pieces of sushi. I was highly satisfied.
So when I later told Rachel about lunch she made 'mmmm' sounds and started to smile. She told me she had a hankering for some teriyaki chicken. So I went back to Japanica for the 2nd time that day! More rolls and hot sake were had for dinner and I was again in sushi bliss.
