The 4th of July weekend was quite a busy one. First, Pete and I headed to Summerfest Friday night and attended the Tom Petty concert. It was great! The Black Crows opened up for them with a solid set. When when Petty and Heartbreakers came on, they did not disappoint. The show was completely sold out and there were some crowd control problems getting in and out of the seating area. After the concert we hit Real Chili for some late night eats. On the way back to my house we picked up some people stranded in an area of the city that isnt particularly safe that time of night. We took them to Club Girabaldi by the stadium where they thanked us with a round of drinks. I made mine a Shirley Temple as I had an early morning at Chris's building.
Later that weekend we visited Rachel's brother and enjoyed and evening with his wife and their son. He is getting so big! Sunday was more building work and then some choppy wakeboarding. I had pretty much worn myself out by the time the lake calmed down.
The weather the 4th wasn't particularly good, but the food was! People loved the peanut butter pie Rachel made for the Rampson's 4th of July party. It was good seeing people I hadnt seen in a while and watching their little ones play together.
