Wow, long time no post eh?
So weekend before last was Kohl's friends and family day at Great America. Rachel and I met Jmack and Lisa at the park. It was about the best day you could wish for. Mid to upper 70s all sun and we had the whole park to ourselves. The longest wait for a ride way maybe, maybe 29 minutes. So needless to say we hit about 6 big rides within the first two hours. First, the bumper cars where we took some road rage out on children. Next the real rides. King Creole, where you do some back flips. Next in no particular order was Vertial Velocity, Deja Vu, Batman, Superman, Demon. By the time we went through all of those my eggs where most definetly scrambled. I did the backwards/reverse rides like Vertical Velocity and Deja Vu but Rachel isnt into those. Feeling dizzy after all the rides I suggested a break. Rachel had some pizza and demanded more rides. We met up with her co-worker Dan and his gf Elizabeth. She and he rode Raging Bull while Liz and I discussed our Motorola V551 mobile phones. Rachel then had a hankerin' for the Tea Cups, which met with some resistance from me because I had finally lost that spinning feeling. After questioning my manhoon I rode the Tea Cups. That was a loooooooong 60 seconds. The more you think about not tossing your cookies the faster it happens. So I thought about nothing. Not about how I was going round and round and round and back and forth and to and fro. After the ride thankfully came to a stop a lesser man than me ejected his lunch before our eyes. We met up with Dan and Liz so the two dare devils could go on one more whirl with Superman. The highlight for me personally was Deja Vu. That ride can rattle one's cage!
After we got home we were thoroughly exhausted. Rachel slept 12 hours and I eleven to recover.
