Planes, Trains, Automobiles, and Rickshaws

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Turkey Day. My old school homey Kartik was in town so he and I hit the Bucks vs. Pistons game the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The seats were courteous of my lovely wife. The game was low scoring and kind of ugly on the Bucks part, but there were some spectacular plays that definitely made it worth coming out.

I was pretty disappointed that all the snow we got on Black Friday was washed away by rain the next couple of days. Want to get out and do some snowboarding! I did get a chance to fire up the snow blower we acquired over the Summer. It is not new but in good shape. Well, it was in good shape until in the process of starting it I pulled the chord right off. Luckily it has an electric start and we live down the street from a snow blower/lawnmower sales and service shop.

The travel itinerary for our honeymoon in India is set. We will be traveling in Northern India for 9 days hitting the major tourist stops and staying in nice hotels. We will be doing our own version of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles between the cities.

Not much else has been going on, just doing a lot of reading and fighting off bronchitis.

This week I was lucky enough to go to the Monday Night Football game (Packers vs. Vikings). The tickets were great, 9th row end zone. Its been awhile since I got a chance to go to a big time game and it was good to back at the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. The game was close and the Vikings kicked the winning field goal into the end zone we were sitting in. Seems like the whole season has been made up of games that could have been made by one bad play. Can anyone say Reggie Bush?

My 30th...ITS GOOOOD!!!!

So for my 30th birthday last weekend my lovely wife organized a surprise party for me. I must admit I suspected nothing and was gotten good. I had tried to organize something myself and people kept the ruse up by not committing to the plans. We started our evening off at a great Mexican restaurant, Jalapeno Loco, where we had a delicious dinner. Upon returning home the surprise was sprung. There was much lively conversation. Bill, Kacz, Tina, and I headed down the street to a local bar where we ran into a friend we used to lifeguard with back in the day. We toasted more than once to good times and called it an evening.

During the course of the evening we caught the end of the amazing comeback win by the Bucks against the Indiana Pacers. Which segues nicely into the thoughtful present my wife got me, really good tickets to the Bucks vs. Pistons in two weeks! In addition to the festivities of the evening she and I had gone for a walk earlier in the day after a large late breakfast. We were luckily enough to catch was likely the last nice (upper 50's clear) weather of the year.  We walked for a couple miles along a nice stretch of the Oak Leaf Trail that runs along a creek on the West side of Milwaukee.
