No Reservations: Third Ward

Rachel, Ava and I headed downtown on a very pleasant Saturday. We wanted to walk around the Third Ward, but first I wanted to see where the Rip Tide restaurant was. There was a tour boat docked and I asked if it was for a private party, and it was, but the public tour boat Iriquois was going to leave in half an hour. We went over to its dock on the river and took the tour. It was a great way to get some fresh air and sun! Ava did a lot of pointing at birds and we got to see all the new condo developments.

After disembarking we headed over to the Harlequin Bakery for sandwiches and coffee. On the walk back to the car we passed a Cubanitas restaurant street party featuring congo music.

Honeymoon Google Map

Hi! Long time no post. BUT, I have included something today that is, in my opinion, very cool. I should have posted it earlier but whattya gonna do?

So early last month (April) Google announced a my maps feature. Basically if you are signed into a google account, and go to maps there is a new tab on the left called 'my maps' next to the normal 'search results' tab.

Anywho, I immediatly mapped our honeymoon in India.  If you visit, the pins on the left all have a picture associated with them. To really see how neat this is switch to the 'satellite' view and zoom way in. Thats actually how I placed the pins, cos I am not a savant about remembering addresses in different countries.

Anyone can do it. I demand people make their own maps and leave the links in comments to this post!
