This is a pleasant walk to take during a lunch break downtown.

We caught this exhibit the last day it ran. The art was interactive and largely done with sensors and digital projectors. Ava had a great time with the installations that allowed her to run around and have the projection on the floor react.

Ava refused to stand in here. I really freaked her out. I feels like you are standing in space.

Hello and Happy New Year! Facebook really has taken over as the main way I post online, if we are'nt connected there find me and befriend me.
Our New Year Eve celebration started with a family dinner of Korean BBQ. Ava really made an impression on the staff there. She started off by asking "I would like seaweed please". Unfortunatly seaweed was not one of their condiments for the evening. Ava was disappointed but really dug into the soup and tea and consumed them enthusiastically . Rachel and I both had our favorite, Bulgoki, and fried dumplings for an appetizer. Throughout the meal various staff came to marvel at our toddler happily eating Korean food. First, it was the hostess, then the chef and lastly the Grandmother of the family restaurant in her cooking apron.
After dinner we attempted to go to the Domes for a family friendly NYE but chilly temps, a line 20 deep to get in, a full parking lot and people exiting saying "it's not worth it" persuaded us to leave. Normally we frequent the Domes around 10am when there is almost no crowd and we find that very very enjoyable. Ava was not too happy about leaving an event that was hyped throughout the day and evening but ice cream at a local restaurant quickly made up for it. In hindsight, ice cream at bedtime was a bad idea. Once home Ava was bouncing off the walls proclaiming "I LOVE MY ENERGY". Needless to say it took her an hour and a half to finally fall asleep.
On New Years Day, Waiken and Maggie prepared a fantastic brunch that I am still full from. French toast, bacon, quesh, fruit, hoppin john all cooked to perfection. Many thanks to you, very much appreciated.
A happy and healthly new year to you.
